PAC-MAN is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, and Atari is marking the occasion with Plaion Replai by launching the Atari 2600+ PAC-MAN Edition worldwide on October 31, 2025. The collaboration also involves Bandai Namco Entertainment America, since Namco is the original developer of PAC-MAN. As you may know, PAC-MAN was first brought to home consoles on the Atari 2600, so it’s fitting that there’s a special version of the console featuring PAC-MAN elements.
Sporting a signature PAC-MAN yellow finish, the Atari 2600+ is highlighted by illuminated character icons across the front. The retail package includes the PAC-MAN Double Feature cartridge and the PAC-MAN CX-40 Wireless Joystick in Yellow. The controllers will also be available separately in blue (Inky ghost), pink (Pinky ghost), orange (Clyde ghost), and red (Blinky ghost), reflecting each of the different ghost colors. Preorders for the consoles and the wireless controllers open on July 23. The console package costs $169.99, while the controller is sold individually for $39.99 or as a bundle of all five for $199.95.
The dual-game cartridge includes PAC-MAN 7800, a brand-new arcade-style version of the classic game, and PAC-MAN 2600, the original home console release. Those interested in the cartridge alone can preorder it on July 23 for $34.99.
