A noticeable absence in today’s State of Play was Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. However, Sony addressed this at the end of the broadcast by announcing that State of Play will return on February 6 at 3:30pm Pacific (6:30pm Eastern) for an extensive look at Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The presentation is set to reveal new gameplay details and “exciting news you don’t want to miss,” which we suspect might include a demo for the game. Since Final Fantasy VII Remake, the first in the trilogy, offered a demo, it would be more surprising if Final Fantasy VII Rebirth didn’t do the same. As one of our most anticipated games of the year, February 29 can’t come soon enough.
