Sony and Microsoft have confirmed that they’ll be hosting press conferences at the 2013 Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Sony’s conference will undoubtedly show off more of its upcoming PlayStation 4 system along with more game announcements, which will happen on August 20 at 1:00 PM Eastern. Microsoft will also be hosting its press conference on August 20, though no time slot has been announced.
Microsoft has already announced that it’ll reveal more of its self-publishing program for indie developers at the 2013 Gamescom, but we should expect more coverage of its Xbox One console and titles. Hosting the Microsoft conference will be corporate vice presidents Phil Spencer and Phil Harrison.
The 2013 Gamescom is opened to the public August 22 through August 25, 2013. August 21 is available to trade visitors and the media exclusively.
