First unveiled during June’s State of Play, 007 First Light is an upcoming game from IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman franchise. Currently scheduled to launch next year, 007 First Light is a third-person action-adventure starring a 26-year-old James Bond. While the announcement gave us a good look at what to expect, IO Interactive will share over 30 minutes of details on September 3 at 11:00 AM Pacific (2:00 PM Eastern) during a 007 First Light State of Play.

The broadcast will feature gameplay from Bond’s first mission as an MI6 recruit, showcasing everything from high-speed car chases to on-foot stealth sequences and shootouts. After the playthrough, the team at IO Interactive will offer more insights into the espionage gameplay we can expect in 2026. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about the game’s other characters, including M, Q, and Moneypenny.
