Each year, PC gamers always get a few surprises. Last year, it was Vampire Survivors, and this year, well, there are a lot of games this year that have become massive hits seemingly out of nowhere. We’ve been enjoying our time with Halls of Torment, but have also begun our adventure in Dave the Diver, which recently passed one million in sales. The game comes from MINTROCKET, a division of Nexon Korea Corporation. Nexon is probably best known for MapleStory.

Dave the Diver is a charming single-player adventure RPG, where players take control of Dave, the diver. The game mixes deep-sea exploration, fishing, and sushi restaurant management in a surprisingly addictive and relaxing gameplay loop. There is so much to love about the game, from its characters to its art style. There are also some fantastic minigames that will appeal to older gamers.

The game is normally priced at $19.99, but is enjoying a small 10% discount during the Steam Summer Sale. We’re working through the game and hope to have a review up in a couple weeks, but we definitely recommend picking it up while it’s on sale!
