According to a Variety report, an Among Us animated series is in development at CBS Studios. Serving as creator and executive producer on the project is Owen Dennis, who is best known for creating Cartoon Network’s Infinity Train. The animated series will (obviously) be based on the popular hit game that really took off in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The report said that Titmouse will serve as the animation studio for the series. They are credited for Big Mouth and Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, Carl Neisser of Innersloth, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse are also attached to the project. As of right now, no network or streaming service has the rights to the animated series.

Television and movie adaptations of popular video games have increased over the last few years. Arcane, based on League of Legends, was a very successful animated series for Netflix, along with Castlevania, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Earlier this year, HBO aired the record-setting series based on The Last of Us. Of course, we also had The Super Mario Bros. movie this year.
