The original Detective Pikachu was released worldwide in 2018 (Japan in 2016) on the Nintendo 3DS, but arguably it’s the 2019 movie that put Detective Pikachu on the map. Now, we’re finally getting another Detective Pikachu game called Detective Pikachu Returns. Once again, Pikachu will team up with Tim Goodman and many other Pokémon to solve mysteries across Ryme City. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch October 6, 2023.
The trailer didn’t share too much about the game’s story, but Detective Pikachu still loves coffee. Like the first game, Detective Pikachu Returns is a cinematic adventure game where players will go around solving crimes, meeting trainers, and Pokémon from every generation.
