In development for the past four-and-a-half years by Fairyship Games, Testament: The Order of High Human has been officially announced with the release of a teaser trailer and an assortment of screenshots. The upcoming action-adventure RPG is being described as a mix of 2018’s God of War, elements from the Elder Scrolls series, and a slice or two of Dark Souls for good measure. The first-person game has players taking on the role of Aran, the king of high humans in the land of Tessara.
To set the story of Testament: The Order of High Human, Aran is betrayed by his brother, Arva, and robbed of his powers as the world around him is plunged into darkness and overrun by monsters. Players will work to regain Aran’s powers, take down Arva, and restore Tessara to its former glory.
The combat system features three different approaches, each of which is designed to offer unique traits for the player. A total of 15 magic abilities join sword gameplay and a magical bow with four different types of arrows. Testament is said to boast over 40 main and side quests with a focus on strong and engaging storytelling.
No release date has been announced yet for Testament: The Order of High Human, but Fairyship Games’ other major release is Shame Legacy, due next week on May 30.
