The official ASUS ROG Ally launch event is set to take place May 11, 2023 with the keynote starting at 7:00am PDT or 10:00am EDT. We expect all the details about this upcoming handheld PC to be revealed, including pricing information and preorder information. The ROG Ally is shaping up to be an attractive Steam Deck competitor, since it runs Windows 11 and has native support for other launchers including Xbox Game Pass.
Powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor, the ASUS ROG Ally will be offered with different configurations. Buyers will be able to select up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 512GB PCIe Gen4 storage. The device also has a built-in MicroSD slot as hard drive space is limited. One of the most appealing aspects of the device is the 1920×1080 full HD display with 120Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness.
A Special Edition of Armoury Crate will make its debut with the ROG Ally, featuring quick performance mode toggles, a game launcher, in-game monitoring software, Aura Sync support, and more. Buyers will also get a bundled 90-day trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate with the ASUS ROG Ally.
