Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for April 2023 and many of the games being added are worth playthroughs. They will be available starting April 18 if you’re a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscriber.

The wonderful Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This story-driven, action-adventure game features gorgeous environments and characters. Although I found the story a bit on the weak side, the combat was surprisingly challenging and fun. Kena doesn’t have a lot of depth to it, but it’s a beautiful world to explore and worth going through.

The ever-stressful Doom Eternal will be available on PS4 and PS5, and I feel like the game needs no introduction. If you were a fan of 2018’s Doom, you will probably enjoy what Doom Eternal brings. Beware, there is a lot more platforming-type action, but the game is full of the fun you’d expect from a Doom title.

If you grew up playing PC games in the early 90s, you know Wolfenstein and Doom paved the way for first-person shooters. So it seems fitting that Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus joins PlayStation Plus Game Catalog the same month as Doom Eternal. The sequel to the rebooted Wolfenstein franchise puts you back into the boots of BJ Blazkowicz as you fight Nazis in iconic American locations. And if you want to play Wolfenstein: The Old Blood first, that will also be available.

Popular fantasy deckbuilder Slay the Spire is joining the catalog in April. If you haven’t experienced this roguelike card game, now’s the perfect time. We love deckbuilders here at FullCleared, and Slay the Spire was one of the first to get it right.

Looking for something more casual? There’s Sackboy: A Big Adventure for the PS4 and PS5, as well as Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. For something more exciting, there’s Riders Republic where you can hop on a bike, grab your skis, snowboard, or even a wingsuit in this massive multiplayer playground.

Horror fans can check out The Evil Within, developed by Shinji Mikami and Tango Gameworks. Finally, the two remaining titles part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for April 2023 are Bassmaster Fishing and Paradise Killer, both for PS4 and PS5.

The following titles will be added as Classics for PlayStation Premium subscribers:

  • Doom | PS4
  • Doom II | PS4
  • Doom 64 | PS4
  • Doom 3 | PS4
  • Dishonored: Definitive Edition | PS4

The following titles will be leaving the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on May 15:

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man
  • Resident Evil
  • NBA 2K Playgrounds 2
