The same developers behind Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Capital Games, are set to launch their vision for The Lord of the Rings. The mobile game will see its global launch on May 10 and it will be available in all countries except for the following: Belgium, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Eastern Ukraine (Donetsk and Luhansk), Crimea Region of Ukraine, Russia, and the People’s Republic of China. The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be found on both the Google Play and Apple App stores.
For Apple devices, you’ll need iOS 13 and above, along with an iPhone 6S and higher. If you own an Android device, it will need to have at least an ARM Quad Core 1.6GHz or higher, at least 2GB of RAM, and running Android 5.0 or higher.
Heroes of Middle-earth has been undergoing a Limited Territory Launch, but all progress and unlocked items earned during that period will be reset at the global launch. Any in-app purchases made during the Limited Territory Launch will be converted back into in-game currency of an equivalent value and those players will also receive an extra 25% bonus of applicable Gems, Gold, and Unit XP purchased.
The gameplay trailer EA released for The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth shows a mobile RPG that isn’t very different from Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. It actually looks pretty much like a reskin.
