Today, Capcom held a Capcom Spotlight for its upcoming games. Here are all the announcements that were made during the event.

Resident Evil 4: Chainsaw Demo

As rumored, the Resident Evil 4: Chainsaw Demo is available to download today. The demo takes place at the start of the game, just as Leon first enters the infamous European village. Capcom confirmed that there’s no time limit on the demo, so play it to your heart’s desire until the game releases on March 24. The Resident Evil 4: Chainsaw Demo is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam (PC).

Exoprimal Release Date

Exoprimal got a release date announcement and it’s set to launch on July 14. The third-person shooter game blends the future with the past as players will go dinosaur hunting with high-tech weapons. It’s an always-online game that’s heading to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and it might be a surprisingly fun experience. You won’t have to wait long to see for yourself, as an open beta test will take place on March 17 to March 19 with cross-platform matchmaking. Sounds like something we’ll be checking out next weekend.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise’s expansion, Sunbreak, will be heading to the Xbox and PlayStation platforms on April 28. Sunbreak has been available on the Switch and Steam versions of Monster Hunter Rise since last year. It adds a pair of new locations, a new hub, and of course plenty of new Master Rank monsters. Capcom also announced that a new Sunbreak Digital Event is set for next month, and more information about the next title update for Switch and PC players will be revealed then.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Release Date

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be released on June 30, 2023. The classic mystery game comes from Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi, and it’s being reborn for modern platforms. The original Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was released in 2010 and the story focuses on an amnesiac ghost of the dead protagonist, Sissel. Pre-orders are now live for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, with some bonus content like four side banner backgrounds and two additional background music tracks.

Resident Evil: Death Island

Unexpectedly, Capcom did show a short teaser trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Death Island movie. The trailer confirmed that Jill Valentine will be in the movie, which also features Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield. Look for Resident Evil: Death Island to be released sometime this summer.

Street Fighter VI: New Commentator

Although we didn’t expect any Street Fighter VI announcements today, Capcom did confirm that the game’s final color commentator will be Japanese actor Hikaru Takahashi. The addition of Takahashi means Street Fighter VI will have eight total commentators and Capcom did confirm there will be subtitles for the commentators in 13 different languages. The latest entry in the Street Fighter series will be released on June 2 and it will be featured in the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 season.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

The Capcom Spotlight kicked off with several new announcements for Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which is set to launch April 14, 2023 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Along with a new trailer, Capcom confirmed the collection will include 499 Patch Cards that were previously only available in Japan as physical collectibles. Players will be able to use these cards in battle from Battle Network 4 and on. Also introduced today was the MegaBuster mode, which amplifies attack power by 100 so players can get through battles even faster.
