The support for Street Fighter 6 continues into Year 3, as Capcom has announced the next four fighters that will be joining the roster. It will start with longtime fan-favorite Sagat this summer, bringing his massive frame and world-class Muay Thai skills to the latest entry in the Street Fighter series. In the fall, we’ll see the popular C. Viper, last seen in Street Fighter IV, make a return with her arsenal of tools and gadgets. Kicking off 2026 in early spring will be Alex, returning from Street Fighter V with his high-flying grappling takedowns. The final character for Year 3 will be Ingrid, joining in late spring 2026.

To announce the Year 3 roster, Capcom teamed up with pro wrestler Kenny Omega, who donned all four characters’ outfits in a fun trailer. Capcom also announced the return of the $1 million grand prize for the winner of Capcom Cup 12, which will take place in 2026 in Tokyo, Japan at the historic Ryogoku Kokugikan sumo arena for the second year in a row.

As someone who grew up spending weekends playing all versions of Street Fighter II, I absolutely loved my time with Street Fighter 6 and, in my review, said it is to the Street Fighter series what Monster Hunter World was to the Monster Hunter series, in that it significantly lowered the barrier to entry, making the franchise much more accessible to casual players.
