The highly anticipated ninth entry in the mainline Resident Evil series has finally made its debut at Summer Game Fest 2025 with a trailer. Resident Evil Requiem is launching on February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will usher in a new era of survival horror. While Capcom doesn’t have much to share just yet, it said the game’s “technological advancements combined with the development team’s depth of experience combine in a story with rich characters and gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.”

Capcom has been teasing the next Resident Evil game for quite some time now, and players have been patiently waiting since Resident Evil Village’s release in 2021. The trailer stars FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft as she is tasked with investigating a crime scene at the Remwood Hotel, where her mother was murdered eight years ago.
