Today’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase was packed full of announcements for the world of Warhammer video games. The showcase ran for about 40 minutes, so try as I might to quickly summarize it all, I still have a lot to cover. Starting things off is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition, which brings the 2011 classic into the modern day with full 4K visuals, updated textures and character models, remastered audio, and a modernized UI and control scheme. For those who hopped into the franchise with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, this remaster is a great way to experience Lieutenant Titus’s first adventure. Best of all, it’s launching on June 10 and it’ll be available on Game Pass from day one.
The next major announcement is Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. This is Owlcat’s next major project and it’ll be heading to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Dark Heresy has players embracing the role of an Inquisitor in a story-rich cRPG set in the Calixis Sector. If you prefer real-time strategy instead, another remake is on the horizon with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition. Featuring upgraded visuals, HUD, camera, and more, the title is being rebuilt on a 64-bit platform while remaining compatible with over 20 years of mods. The Definitive Edition includes four complete campaigns, nine factions, and over 200 maps.

For some, the most exciting announcement is Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, a sequel to the surprisingly fun boomer shooter from 2023. The upcoming game follows directly from the end of Boltgun with a branching, non-linear single-player campaign. Look for it in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. But if you’re impatient, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance is available for free right now. It’s a typing action game, though, that challenges Malum Caedo with spelling words and phrases straight from Warhammer lore.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 fans can look forward to Siege Mode, a free update that pits players against an endless swarm of Tyranids on the surface of Kadaku. The game is also getting the White Scars Chapter Pack and Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack DLCs for Season Pass owners. As for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, that game is getting the new Arbites class on June 23. That update will also bring a revamped early game and onboarding, along with changes to difficulty selection and progression. Players are also getting a new Nurgle totem event today.
Warhammer Skulls 2025 also announced the second major DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Lex Imperialis. That launches on June 24 and adds a new Adeptus Arbites companion, new battle Familiars like cybernetic eagles and cyber-mastiffs, the new Overseer archetype, and a new 15-hour story quest. Owlcat Games also announced Season Pass 2 and that development has begun on another two future DLCs for Rogue Trader.

We also got another look at Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 with new gameplay footage that teases the first video game appearance of the Leagues of Votann. The sequel places Tech-priests in an even deadlier fight than before with a full Necron campaign to shake things up. Next up, the Warhammer franchise is getting another mobile entry with Supremacy: Warhammer 40,000. It comes from the creators of Supremacy 1914 and will be a free-to-play title on Android and iOS.
Somehow, there’s even more announcements. Total War: Warhammer III teased its next DLC, Tides of Torment, while the franchise confirmed it’s doing a collaboration event with Rust. Yes, the survival game Rust will get Warhammer 40,000 cosmetic skins for characters, bases, and crafted weapons. A bit of a surprise was the announcement that Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks was leaving Early Access during Skulls 2025. The full release features new vehicles and racing levels, and those who played during the Early Access version get the base game for free.
As for the popular Warhammer: Vermintide 2, the Verminous Dreams campaign is ending with a brand new free level in The Well of Dreams update. Players will have to infiltrate Skaven tunnels beneath an ancient elven temple, while enjoying more quality of life changes and the return of the in-game Skulls event.
The showcase also had some minor announcements for the following titles:
