Publisher Microids has announced that Syberia – Remastered is in development by Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris and is aiming for a Q4 2025 release. This single-player point-and-click classic takes place in the clockpunk and dreamlike universe of Benoît Sokal. Syberia – Remastered is the first chapter of the Syberia saga and stars Kate Walker and Oscar, who are pursuing the brilliant inventor Hans Voralberg. The remastered version sees Syberia’s iconic character fully redesigned and brought to life in enhanced 3D. Each environment is being carefully rebuilt with an art direction that stays true to the original’s unique style.

The team is also taking the time to reimagine the game’s mechanical puzzles to provide a smoother and more intuitive experience. Don’t worry, the puzzles will continue to play a major role in uncovering the secrets behind Voralberg. Of course, there’s also an updated user interface coming, along with improved 3D navigation and more fluid controls.

For those unfamiliar with Syberia, it takes players into a world of mystery, automatons, and poetic machinery. They’ll travel from the alpine town of Valadilène to the frozen edges of Eastern Russia, enjoying a clockpunk journey that blends realism with dreamlike wonder.

The original Syberia, released in 2002, is a classic point-and-click adventure with a focus on creative puzzles and an intriguing narrative. You can learn more about Syberia – Remastered by checking out its Steam page.
