PC gamers looking forward to Elden Ring Nightreign’s May 30 launch will be happy to hear the co-op game won’t be demanding on hardware. FromSoftware has shared Nightreign’s minimum and recommended PC specs. At minimum, the game requires an Intel i5-10600 or Ryzen 5 5500 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580. The minimum specs are comparable to Elden Ring’s own floor: an Intel i5-8400 or Ryzen 3 3300X, 12GB of RAM, and a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580.
The recommended specs require an Intel i5-11500 or Ryzen 5 5600 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56 GPU. The game runs DirectX 12 and requires 30GB of storage space.
Elden Ring Nightreign debuted at The Game Awards 2024 as a standalone, three-player co-op spin-off. It can also be played solo, but not in pairs. The game features procedurally generated maps set in Limveld, an alternate version of Limgrave from Elden Ring. Players choose from eight unique characters—each with distinct abilities and Ultimates—while contending with a day-and-night cycle and a shrinking map à la Fortnite. It’s an interesting concept, and the previews look like a ton of fun. Just remember, it’s probably better if you have two friends to play with, as matchmaking may not be a very enjoyable experience in this type of game.
