The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 is scheduled for June 8 at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:00 PM Eastern). Immediately after the Xbox Games Showcase will be The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, offering details for Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming sequel. The annual Xbox Games Showcase will spotlight upcoming titles from first-party Xbox studios, along with new titles from third-party partners worldwide. This year’s event will be digital-only so you’ll want to catch the livestream on YouTube or Twitch.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2025 joins Summer Game Fest 2025, which will kick off this year’s summer gaming events on June 6. Xbox has confirmed there will be a full week’s worth of coverage with updates, details, and deep-dives on many of the games featured in the showcase.
Last year’s Xbox Games Showcase was awesome and definitely the highlight of the summer gaming events in 2024. Xbox kicked it off with a gameplay reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but also shared more about DOOM: The Dark Ages, State of Decay 3, Starfield: Shattered Space, South of Midnight, Avowed, and more. The showcase was also when Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made its debut, which we considered the most exciting game from the showcase.
This year, we expect a few surprises since the second half of 2025 is still a bit empty—mainly because Grand Theft Auto VI hasn’t announced its release date yet. We should learn more about Fable, Perfect Dark, Nina Gaiden 4, Gears of War: E-Day, and possibly The Elders Scroll VI. This might also be the showcase where Xbox unveils its rumored handheld PC that’s in development with ASUS.
