The preorder books are now open for the world’s first 5K2K OLED gaming monitor, the 45-inch LG UltraGear GX9 (45GX950A-B). The 5K2K resolution represents 5120×2160, delivering Wide Ultra High Definition (WUHD) resolution. The monitor also features dual-mode refresh rate technology, allowing gamers to choose between 5K2K resolution at 165Hz or Wide Full HD (WFHD) at 330Hz. Both modes are supported by an ultra-fast 0.03 ms response time. The display has VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and up to 98.5% DCI-P3 color spectrum coverage. As expected from an OLED monitor, the GX9 delivers deep blacks and vibrant colors and has both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro compatibility.

Inputs on the GX9 include DisplayPort 2.1, USB Type-C, and HDMI 2.1. While most gamers likely won’t use them, the monitor does have built-in speakers and DTS Headphone:X support. Like other LG OLED monitors, the GX9 has anti-glare technology designed to minimize screen reflections and glare.

The LG 45-inch UltraGear GX9 monitor is priced at $1,999.99 and is available for preorder from now through March 30, 2025.
