Last year, BlizzCon took a break after returning as an in-person event in 2023. It appears the convention will do the same this year, as Blizzard has confirmed it will return in 2026. More specifically, it will be held on September 12 and September 13 at its usual location, the Anaheim Convention Center. That will mark three years since the last in-person BlizzCon, but it also suggests that Blizzard will have at least one major debut or announcement to make.

The company confirmed that BlizzCon 2026 will feature many of the staples from previous events, including the Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, hands-on gameplay, friendly competition, and more. However, the team is working to elevate BlizzCon 2026 in order to create an unforgettable experience for attendees. There are no details yet as to what they may entail, but Blizzard confirmed it’s building BlizzCon like it builds its games: with a deep commitment to its players and respect for their connections to the Blizzard universes.
