Xbox hasn’t had many wins over PlayStation in recent years, but one area where Xbox has excelled is in custom wireless controllers. From the transparent Cipher Series to the Vapor collection, Xbox has truly been excelling with all the custom controllers. PlayStation has been playing catch-up, and it has a long way to go considering how few DualSense controllers are available. Earlier this year, PlayStation announced the Midnight Black Collection, and now it has introduced The Last of Us Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller. Inspired by The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II, the special controller was created in collaboration with the creative team at developer Naughty Dog.

The Last of Us Limited Edition controller will be available in limited quantities for $84.99 USD (€84.99, and £74.99). It officially launches on April 10, 2025 but preorders will begin on March 14, 2025 at direct.playstation.com and participating retailers. The launch date and availability may vary by country or region. As for the preorder, it will open at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern) in the U.S. and at 10:00 AM local time in the U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

The timing for the release of this controller celebrates The Last of Us Part II Remastered launching on PC on April 3, 2025. Shortly after, the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us is set to premiere on April 13, 2025.
