The 42nd annual Golden Joystick Awards took place on November 21 at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM Eastern), and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth emerged as a big winner of the night with four awards, potentially previewing things to come at The Game Awards 2024. Helldivers 2 won four awards, including Best Multiplayer Game and the Critics’ Choice Award. Surprisingly, Astro Bot won only two of its nominations, including Studio of the Year for Team Asobi. For some, the biggest surprise was Black Myth: Wukong winning Ultimate Game of the Year.
