After a few delays, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is now set to launch on November 20 for Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. For those planning to play on PC, the developers have released the final system requirements, ranging from an i7-7700K with an RTX 1060, RX 580, or Arc A750 for low settings to an i7-13700KF with an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX for 4K 60+ FPS. For most players, 1440p at 60 FPS will require an i7-11700 with an RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 4070, or RX 6800 XT.
The next-gen sequel immerses players in a post-apocalyptic Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, blending elements of first-person shooter, immersive sim, and horror. The game features a non-linear story where players can influence the fate of the Zone. At launch, the game will support only the single-player campaign, but multiplayer is in development and will be available as a free update shortly after release.
