In announcing the formation of its new development studio, North Beach Games Prague, publisher North Beach Games has confirmed that Stranded Deep 2 is now in development. The new studio, based in Prague, is led by Chief Technology Officer Sam Edwards, the original creator of Stranded Deep. Additionally, North Beach Games Prague will develop and support new games within the survival crafting space. The core development team for the studio will operate primarily on-site but will be supported by remote staff from around the world.
North Beach Games is currently working with Free Range Games on the release of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria. The company will be attending gamescom 2024 from August 21 to August 23, where it will share more about its new studio and future development plans. As for Stranded Deep 2, it is likely in its early development stages since North Beach Games did not have much more to share in its press release.
