Concord is set to launch on August 23. As a live service game, PlayStation has shared its season roadmap so players know what to expect in the coming months. Like other live service games, the plan is to grow Concord over time, with the goal of introducing new ways to play while expanding the universe. For players, this also means unique rewards to earn and unlock, as well as narratives that provide more about the story. Future seasons promise to deliver new characters, maps, modes, and more.

The first season of Concord will launch in October and is titled The Tempest. It will introduce a new playable Freegunner, a new map, new Freegunner variants, earnable cosmetics and rewards, and a new season of weekly Cinematic Vignettes starring the Northstar crew. The announcement also notes that there will be an in-game store for cosmetic items, despite Concord not being a free-to-play game. Season 2 will launch in January 2025 with similar additions to the game as Season 1 and will also introduce a new gameplay mode.

The team at Firewalk also detailed the Crew Builder feature, which allows players to create Custom Crews of Freegunners to bring into a match. A Custom Crew must have five unique Freegunners, but players can choose to stack up to three copies of any Freegunner’s variants if they want to focus on specific characters. There are also four backup slots, which are randomly populated with Freegunners not in the custom crew. Balancing the crew with different roles will result in special in-match benefits called Crew Bonuses. You can learn more about how Crew Builder works here.

Concord officially launches on August 23, but owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition can join early access on August 20 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific (1:00 p.m. Eastern). Preload for all editions begins today on PlayStation 5.
