One of Xbox’s most highly anticipated games, Avowed, has been pushed to February 18, 2025. The company said the delay is “to give players’ backlogs some breathing room.” In development by Obsidian Entertainment, the same team behind Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds, Pillars of Eternity, Grounded, Pentiment, and more, Avowed is an RPG set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity. The game was originally announced in 2020 and was set to release this year.

While the delay is disappointing for fans who have been eagerly awaiting Avowed, Xbox shared a calendar of upcoming first-party games that we can look forward to instead.
