Today marks the 6th anniversary of Frostpunk, as developer 11 bit studios prepares to release its sequel on July 25, 2024. As part of the celebration, the company is holding a contest on X (Twitter) where players can win a copy of Frostpunk 2. It also revealed some interesting statistics about Frostpunk, including that the game has sold over five million copies across all platforms. Approximately 3% of players have logged over 100 hours, with the average playtime standing at 24 hours.

Over half of the players have succeeded in saving every person in Frostland during The New Home scenario. As for the game’s most popular track from its OST, that honor goes to “The City Must Survive,” which has been played over 6.4 million times on Spotify and over 1.3 million times on YouTube. Lastly, 11 bit studios shared the rarest achievement on Steam, “Endless slave driver.” Only 0.6% of Steam players have unlocked it, which requires making all other settlements distrustful towards you in Endless Mode.

Congratulations to the team at 11 bit studios on six successful years with Frostpunk. We look forward to seeing what they do with the game’s sequel later this year.
