Just a reminder, the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo was updated today, introducing a new section titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon.” The free update to the existing demo follows Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, and Red XIII as they step into the outskirts of Junon. It takes place several hours into the main storyline and is a special preview made specifically for the demo. In other words, there is some content that is exclusive to the demo. For anyone curious about how the open world will be presented, this update feeds us a small piece of that pie.

Completing the demo’s first part, “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim,” rewards players with the Kupo Charm and Survival Set, plus the option to skip this section in the full game. Save data from “Dawn of a New Era in Junon” won’t transfer to the full game due to specific changes made for the demo. In addition, the demo includes minor graphical improvements and other tweaks.

As one of our most highly anticipated games of the year, we’re counting down the days until February 29. If you’re eagerly awaiting Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s release, we suggest playing Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion to experience Zack’s story if you haven’t already.
