Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might be the first major disappointment of the year. The game, first detailed in February 2023 during a Sony State of Play, was subsequently delayed to this year. Early impressions haven’t been overly positive. Though it’s still on our list of most anticipated games of the year, this might be more out of morbid curiosity. We still have faith in Rocksteady Studios, but there’s a growing concern that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League might be as generic as it comes, and could be DC’s version of Marvel’s Avengers from Crystal Dynamics.
Slated for a February 2, 2024 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League unveiled a live-action trailer today starring Will Arnett and Ron Funches. Directed by Jodi Hill, the commercial is definitely something. This trailer might actually be a fitting preview of the game itself: don’t take it too seriously and it might just be a fun enough time.
