Typically, the video game industry is quiet on the weekends. However, this weekend, the Early Access game Palworld continues to make headlines. Its quick rise to the top of Steam’s charts is almost unheard of for an indie game, as it has now sold over four million copies in just about three days. The company reports that momentum has actually increased, with the latest sales data showing about 86,000 units sold per hour. What’s even crazier is that Palworld’s peak concurrent player count reached 1,291,967, putting it at the top of the most played list on Steam’s current charts. And again, this figure does not include users playing the game on Xbox and PC Game Pass.
Per SteamDB, Palworld Palworld ranks fifth among all-time most-played games, surpassing highly anticipated titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring. It is very close to Dota 2’s number of 1,295,114.
