The Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2024 is underway in Tokyo, where the team from Creative Business Unit III has unveiled the full trailer for the upcoming expansion, Dawntrail. Many fans speculated that a female Hrothgar and Alphinaud would be lurking on the boat with our beloved Derplander, and that turned out to be true. We also get to see Krile taking on the new Pictomancer job role and she’s been confirmed to be the newest Scion joining us for dungeon runs as a DPS for the Trust system.
No release date for Dawntrail has been announced, with Yoshida saying that the date will be revealed only once it is set in stone. Yoshida wants to avoid what happened with Endwalker, which was delayed last minute. He did assure that it will be released in summer 2024.
