Players eagerly anticipating the addition of a New Game+ mode to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will need to wait a bit longer. Insomniac Games, the developer behind Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, announced on social media that New Game+ and Audio Descriptions, among other additions, won’t be added until the next game update in early 2024. A feature-complete list will be revealed closer to the update’s release next year. The update will also introduce other highly-requested features, such as the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions.
In my review of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, I found the game to be a very safe but competent sequel. While I hoped for more innovation to shake up the formula, the game adds a layer of polish to everything that made Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales great.
