Microsoft has revealed the first wave of games heading to Xbox Game Pass in October 2023. Starting today, subscribers can play Gotham Knights (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), and The Lamplighter’s League (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). The former was released nearly a year ago and tells the story of Gotham after the death of Batman. The latter is available day one with Game Pass and is a turn-based strategy game where players recruit a team of misfits and scoundrels with unique abilities and unforgettable personalities.

Starting on October 4, subscribers can access Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S). Already available on PC Game Pass, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide comes from the same developers as the award-winning Vermintide and is a four-player co-op action game set in the hive city of Tertium.

Perhaps the star of October’s first wave of Game Pass titles is Forza Motorsport, available day one on October 10. Featuring over 500 real-world cars, including more than 100 new additions, the latest entry in the long-running Forza Motorsport franchise is packed with features. These include live on-track scoring, fully dynamic time-of-day with weather, and unique driving conditions, ensuring that no two laps ever look or play the same.

October 12 marks the arrival of From Space (Cloud, Console, and PC), a solo and co-op action shooter for squads of up to four players. In From Space, players aim to liberate Earth from an alien infestation. The game features over-the-top weaponry and is set in a post-apocalyptic world.

The final title revealed for October 2023 wave 1 is Like a Dragon: Ishin! (Cloud, Console, and PC). It will be available starting October 17. In this Like a Dragon title, players will follow the story of Sakamoto Ryoma as they explore the land of Kyoto to find his father’s killer.

Xbox also revealed six titles that are leaving the Game Pass library on October 15:

  • Eville (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Overwhelm (PC)
  • Shenzhen I/O (PC)
  • The Legend of Tianding (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Trek to Yomi (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion (Cloud, Console, and PC)
