Square Enix recently unveiled a crazy trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which revealed the game’s release date of February 29, 2024. Since then, the game has quickly become one of the most anticipated games of 2024 and after the game’s Tokyo Game Show 2023 presentation, expectations are even higher. The presentation provides a surprisingly detailed preview of what players can expect in 2024, with the video showcasing over 30 minutes of gameplay footage, including a look at some of the mini-games and side activities (including a new card game called Queen’s Blood), chocobo customization, and even Cloud playing the piano in a rhythm game.

A significant portion of the trailer focused on the Grasslands area, which will be the setting for the story’s opening in the second game of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is looking very promising and we expect Square Enix to share plenty more about it in the coming months.
