An unexpected surprise, Star Wars: Dark Forces is getting a remaster from Nightdive Studios. The classic first-person shooter originally released in 1995, which makes me feel really old considering I played it at launch. The remaster is being developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games and is being fully remastered through Nightdive Studios’ KEX engine. The game supports 4K at 120fps and features advanced 3D rendering, modern gamepad support, trophies and achievements, and more.

No release date has been announced, but Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. The developers did say we should expect a release date announcement later this year.

Nightdive Studios specializes in developing and publishing classic video games. Some of the titles in its portfolio include System Shock, Turok, Doom 64, The 7th Guest, Quake, and more.
