Recently, Remedy Entertainment announced a slight delay for its upcoming Alan Wake 2 so it doesn’t get caught in what has become a very crowded October for new game releases. Now launching on October 27, the team debuted a new trailer during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Titled “The Dark Place,” the latest trailer gives us a look at Alan Wake’s living nightmare in the Dark Place. The last 13 years haven’t been kind to the game’s co-protagonist, who will be sharing the spotlight with the other co-protagonist, Saga Anderson.

“Trapped in a nightmare, Alan Wake has been trying to write his way out,” reads the video’s description. “But what happens when something else escapes? Play as the writer, Alan Wake, and the FBI agent, Saga Anderson. Explore two beautiful and terrifying realities in Remedy Entertainment’s first survival horror game, and rewrite Alan Wake’s reality to escape the surreal cityscape of the Dark Place.”

The game is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, just in time for Halloween.
