Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t just one of the biggest games of 2023, it’s one of the biggest games of all time with over 875,000 concurrent players this past weekend. While the team at Larian Studios has rolled out three hotfixes to address issues with the game, it hasn’t released what it considers “Patch 1” that promises to deliver over 1,000 fixes and tweaks to the massive RPG. The news comes from Swen Vincke, founder and CEO of Larian Studios.

“We’re all very enthused by your feedback,” Vincke wrote in a tweet. “It’s very rewarding. Our focus now is fixing any issues you report, but we are listening to suggestions. Current roadmap: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (+1000 fixes and tweaks), c) Patch 2. The latter will already incorporate some requests.”

Before that patch arrives, however, players can expect another hotfix to address current bugs and crashes. As for requests, one of the more popular that is apparently ‘being cooked’ is the ability to change how your character looks in the game, after you create it. Currently, once you finalize everything in the character creation, there is no way to modify your custom character, except for the armor they are wearing and the weapon they are wielding. That news — also from a tweet — comes from Michael Douse, Director of Publishing at Larian Studios.

Baldur’s Gate 3 launched on PC on August 3, 2023 and is heading to PlayStation 5 on September 6. It has become another Game of the Year contender in a year that’s already full of amazing games, like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
