Microsoft has announced the second wave of games heading to Xbox Game Pass in July 2023, with three games available starting today: Techtonica (Cloud, Console, and PC), Toem (Cloud, Console, and PC), and The Cave (Cloud and Console). Techtonica is available day one on Game Pass as a Game Preview, or Early Access. In Techtonica, players dig into the subsurface world of a rogue alien planet, exploring and constructing sprawling factories. They can work alone or in co-op to master automation, gather resources, research new technologies, and more. It looks to be similar to Satisfactory.

Toem will have players using their photographic eye to uncover mysteries in this hand-drawn adventure game. Finally, The Cave is an adventure game from Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion creator, Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, the same studio behind Psychonauts and Brutal Legend. In The Cave, players assemble a team of three from seven unlikely adventurers to descend into the mysterious depths.

On July 19, Maquette (Console and PC) joins the lineup as a first-person, recursive puzzle game. The following day, Figment 2: Creed Valley (Cloud, Console, and PC) and The Wandering Village (Cloud, Console, and PC) will become available on Game Pass. Figment 2: Creed Valley is an action-adventure game that takes place in the human mind, while The Wandering Village is a simulation game where players build a city on the back of a giant, wandering creature.

On July 25, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) will become available as a new standalone expansion to the popular Serious Sam franchise. On the final day of July, Venba (Console and PC) will be added to Game Pass. It’s a short narrative cooking game where players take on the role of an Indian mom who immigrates to Canada with her family in the 1980s.

Finally, to start off next month, Celeste (Cloud, Console, and PC) rejoins Game Pass on August 1. The popular platformer returns to the Game Pass library after a hiatus and it’s one story you’ll want to experience if you haven’t yet.

Microsoft also announced some DLC and game updates for titles on Game Pass. Naraka: Bladepoint‘s Deluxe Edition Upgrade is available now. On July 20, Game Pass members can unlock the newest League of Legends Champion, Naafiri. The first of three installments for Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island also arrives on July 20. Lastly, Game Pass members can save 10% on the Nicolas Cage DLC for Dead by Daylight.

There are also some additional perks for Game Pass Ultimate members. On July 20, members can get 75 days of Crunchyroll Premium for a limited time with their Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. The FIFA 23 EA Play Ultimate Team Pack will be available on July 21. And available now is Naruto Shippuden Uncut season 1.

As a reminder, here are the following games that are leaving Xbox Game Pass on July 31:

  • Dreamscaper (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Expeditions: Rome (PC)
  • Marvel’s Avengers (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • The Ascent (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Two Point Campus (Cloud, Console, and PC)
