Earlier today, Nintendo hosted a Hyrule Warriors Direct, which gave an in-depth look at the upcoming Wii U game. During the Hyrule Warriors Direct, Tecmo Koei and Nintendo revealed several playable characters including Zant, Lana, Midna and Ganondorf. In addition, the Chain Chomp, which originated from the Mario universe, will be a usable weapon in Hyrule Warriors. The game will also feature a badge crafting system that helps players increase character statistics. Other information revealed during today’s Direct includes the game’s Adventure Mode and pre-order bonuses.

Hyrule Warriors will be released exclusively on the Wii U in North America on September 26.
