Despite recent reports that Final Fantasy XV will be present at the 2013 Tokyo Game Show, there will be no new information on the next-generation Final Fantasy title in Japan. The word comes from director Tetsuya Nomura who said, “There won’t be new information at the Tokyo Game Show. I’m sorry, but you can experience a glimpse of Final Fantasy XV in this video. There are various things I cannot yet say, but please look forward to it.”

The video Nomura refers to is an upcoming Sony Computer Entertainment’s Conversations With Creators interview series, which Nomura will make an appearance on in the near future.

Originally announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Square Enix announced earlier this year that the title would become Final Fantasy XV and would be heading to the next-generation consoles. The game was once considered vaporware after initially being unveiled in 2006.

It’s unfortunate since it seems that more information on the game continues to allude the general public. But let’s hoping that Square Enix is actually pushing forward with development and that we’ll see it within the next two to three years.
