Historically, November is a bit of a slower month for new releases because games want to stay out of Call of Duty’s way. This year, we’re getting yet another Black Ops title with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 dropping in November. If Call of Duty doesn’t interest you, though, there are still plenty of games to consider, and you can see our picks below. Many of our choices are older games that are finding their way to new platforms, so if they’re new to you, they’re definitely worth checking out.

Personally, I’m going to use the month to revisit some of the games I missed in September and October due to my busy schedule. I’m still working my way through Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Switch 2, since Megabonk unexpectedly took up more of my time than I could ever imagine. I also have plans to get through Hades II, which I haven’t had a chance to really play since it exited Early Access. As for November’s new releases, it might just be a Switch 2 month for me with Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and Kirby Air Riders.

1000xResist

To start off this year, I picked up 1000xRESIST on my Switch as I embarked on a very long flight to Tokyo for vacation. I went in knowing as little as I could about the game and walked away hoping more and more people would give it a chance. 1000xRESIST is a story-driven game with limited gameplay elements, but it really resonated with me as a first-generation Chinese-American. It’s now heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it’ll be available on Game Pass too. If you like older Telltale Games, 1000xRESIST is right up your alley.

1000xResist releases on November 4, 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Satisfactory

We’ve collectively spent hundreds of hours in Satisfactory, which we reviewed in October 2024 after it exited Early Access. It’s a fantastic factory-building simulator, one that really nails the balance between scale and complexity. There’s a lot to explore and build, and plenty of puzzles to solve as you work toward completing the game. It can definitely get tedious and even frustrating at times, but those who enjoy this genre will find very few games that do it better.

Satisfactory releases on November 4, 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

When Nintendo launched the first Hyrule Warriors title in 2014, everyone just figured it was a Dynasty Warriors reskin with characters from The Legend of Zelda. The next entry, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, is canonical, as it tells the untold story of the Imprisoning War. This tale is briefly alluded to in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and it will let players experience Demon King Ganondorf’s invasion while Princess Zelda, Mineru, and the Sages work together to repel it. you get to play as a Korok in this one. Isn’t that enough to pick up the game?

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment releases on November 6, 2025 for Switch 2.

Lumines Arise

I have so many fond memories of playing the original Lumines on my PSP and absolutely loved what Enhance did with Tetris Effect: Connected. Those creators are back with Lumines Arise, delivering a similar makeover for the classic puzzle game in which sound is even more important than before. Featuring more than 35 stages of synesthetic sensory wonderlands, Lumines Arise will also support VR, just like Tetris Effect: Connected. If you’ve never heard of Lumines, it’s a puzzle game similar to Tetris, but players create squares of a single color by manipulating 2×2 blocks made of two colors.

Lumines Arise releases on November 11, 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation VR2, and PC.

Anno 117: Pax Romana

Ubisoft has had an interesting year, to say the least, so much so that some people have overlooked the fact that we’re getting a new Anno game. Anno 117: Pax Romana will let players live out their Roman Empire fantasies, from the heartland of Latium to the Celtic wetlands of Albion. It’s the latest entry in the real-time simulation series, which dates back to 1998 with Anno 1602. The last game we got was Anno 1800 in 2019, which was well received by fans of the series.

Anno 117: Pax Romana releases on November 13, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

The main reason we’re not getting many new releases in November is Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. While the series typically doesn’t do this, we’re getting back-to-back Black Ops entries. Most years, the Call of Duty release tops the sales charts, with a few exceptions such as Rockstar Games releases and Hogwarts Legacy. It’s generally not a franchise you want to compete against, but it will be interesting to see whether players are keen on back-to-back Black Ops titles. EA’s Battlefield 6 also looks to be resonating with fans, which feels like it hasn’t happened in years.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases on November 14, 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Where Winds Meet

Developers from China have been making a statement in the past couple of years, and it looks like there’s no slowing down. The next major title, Where Winds Meet, comes from Everstone Studio. At first, it looks like another single-player action-adventure RPG with soulslike elements, like this year’s Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, but Where Winds Meet is actually more like a Genshin Impact–style game with better visuals. That’s because it’s a free-to-play title that supports up to four players in open-world co-op. The game promises to deliver a lot, including 150 hours of solo gameplay, and I’m rather intrigued to see if it lives up to its claims.

Where Winds Meet releases on November 14, 2025 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Marvel’s Deadpool VR

VR as a gaming platform is still struggling to gain popularity, but it doesn’t seem like Meta is giving up on VR anytime soon. Unfortunately, it seems like even a game as great as Half-Life: Alyx isn’t enough to get more people into VR, but maybe the Merc with the Mouth can convince more people. Launching exclusively for Quest 3, Marvel’s Deadpool VR stars Neil Patrick Harris instead of Ryan Reynolds and features a blend of ranged and melee combat from developer Twisted Pixel Games. Personally, I plan to dust off my good ol’ Quest 3 to check this one out.

Marvel’s Deadpool VR releases on November 18, 2025 for Quest 3 and Quest 3S.

Kirby Air Riders

Another major title for November 2025 is Kirby Air Riders on Switch 2. What initially seemed like a small passion project for game director Masahiro Sakurai has turned out to be a game packed full of content. We’ve gotten two lengthy Kirby Air Riders Directs, with the first lasting 45 minutes and the second lasting one hour. Both detailed what we believe are all the features in the game, although we expect one or two surprises are still under wraps. Kirby Air Riders may turn out to be the better of the two mascot racing games for the Switch 2 this year, but it’s very unlikely to outsell Mario Kart World.

Kirby Air Riders releases on November 20, 2025 for Switch 2.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl launched on Xbox Series X|S and PC last year, but it’s finally making its way to PlayStation 5. The open-world first-person shooter, set in the post-apocalyptic Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, features a nonlinear story with several endings. It’s part survival sim, part shooter, and part horror game as players take on the role of a lone stalker searching for invaluable artifacts and answers to some of the Zone’s darkest secrets. The game had a bit of a rough launch on PC, but developer GSC Game World has continued to support it, and it’s now in a pretty good state.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases on November 20, 2025 for PlayStation 5.

Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive

Games based on popular anime tend to be pretty shallow and I honestly don’t expect Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive to be any different. Despite this though, I’ve had fun in the past with games like the Sword Art Online series, and given the popularity of Solo Leveling, hopefully Netmarble Neo put some effort into Arise Overdrive. The game predictably focuses on combat, but it will support up to four players with co-op raids. If the combat is fun enough, it could be an entertaining enough romp. If you’re not sure about it, there’s a demo going live on November 17.

Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive releases on November 24, 2025 for PC.
