During the Microsoft Xbox press conference at E3 2016, the company announced its Xbox Play Anywhere program, that will enable you to buy a game once and play it on both the Xbox One and your Windows 10 PC. Yes, that means you will only have to purchase the participating cross-platform game on either Xbox One or Windows 10 to have access to it on both platforms. Best of all, your saved games, achievements and other data will transfer between the two versions seamlessly.

The program is similar to what Microsoft did with the launch of Quantum Break earlier this year. Those that purchased Quantum Break on Xbox One got a free copy on Windows 10 PC, but Microsoft promises that the process is now more streamlined.

The big news is that Microsoft is keen on bringing many of its first-party titles to Xbox Play Anywhere. Right now, the company has confirmed Forza Horizon 3Gears of War 4Halo Wars 2RecoreScaleboundSea of ThievesState of Decay 2 and We Happy Few will all be compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere.

The inclusion of Halo Wars 2 certainly makes us more optimistic that the next main Halo game could be heading to Windows 10 PC.
