Microsoft has launched its new Xbox Live Rewards program, where players will be rewarded for staying dedicated to the Xbox Live service. Once you’ve signed up to the new program, you’ll be given Missions to take on that will reward you with credits. Those missions vary from completing punchcards, such as purchasing map packs or renting movies. Having an Xbox Live Gold membership will also net you some credits, as will buying new games, completing surveys, referring friends, or even ranking up your Gamerscore tier.
Once you’ve collected at least 5,000 credits on the Xbox Live Rewards program, they’ll be converted to your country’s local currency and deposited into your Microsoft account. You can then head over to the Xbox Stores to spend your hard-earned money. Microsoft will convert credits from the Xbox Live Rewards program around the 15th and 30th of each month and 5,000 credits will net you $5.00. An early deposit can be requested if you’ve earned at least 1,000 credits.
It’s worth mentioning it can take up to 36 hours for your new Xbox Live Rewards membership to be activated, so you’ll want to get on it as soon as possible.
