If you follow Final Fantasy XIV’s development, then you know how Naoki Yoshida and his team handle the hype leading up to an expansion. But if you don’t, you’re getting a good look at it with the release of Final Fantasy XVI. It’s already been months since select media got to go hands-on to preview the game, and more recently, Yoshi-P revealed more details at PAX East during a panel.
Two weeks ago, the team announced Final Fantasy XVI has gone gold, well ahead of its June 22 launch date. Given how much we’ve seen and how much the team has shared about the game so far, it’s almost surprising that we’re getting another 20 minutes of footage during a special State of Play today, April 13 at 2:00pm PDT or 5:00pm EDT.
You can watch the Final Fantasy XVI State of Play below.
