Is Warlords of Draenor the real name to an upcoming World of Warcraft expansion? As if we haven’t had enough Blizzard Entertainment trademark filings to talk about the last few months, another one has popped up that was submitted today. This time, it’s for Warlords of Draenor which sounds a lot more fitting to the WoW lore than the previously rumored The Dark Below hoax.
The trademark filing is following the same pattern that was seen for Heroes of the Storm trademark filing, that is it surfaced in New Zealand before being registered in Australia afterwards. Blizzard Entertainment filed the mark to be used for the following:
- Computer game software, computer game discs, downloadable computer game software, computer game software downloadable from a global computer network, interactive multimedia computer game program; downloadable electronic game software for use on portable electronic devices such as mobile and cellular phones, laptops, handheld computers, and tablet PCs.
- Entertainment services, namely, providing on-line computer games; providing on-line non-downloadable computer games that may be accessed via a global computer network; providing online news and information in the field of computer games.
We’re just a week away from BlizzCon 2013 kicking off, so hopefully all these rumors can be put to rest once the show kicks off and Blizzard Entertainment makes all the official announcements it can. Full Cleared will be reporting live from this year’s BlizzCon, so check back for all the news.
