Blizzard has launched the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest, allowing players to relive the entire franchise for $39.99. The package includes Warcraft I: Remastered, Warcraft II: Remastered, Warcraft III: Reforged (with Spoils of War Edition bonuses), the original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition. The remastered titles feature updated graphics, enhanced sound, and quality-of-life upgrades. Hopefully, these remasters will perform better than the initial launch of Warcraft III: Reforged, which was widely considered disappointing. Speaking of Warcraft III: Reforged, it has received a 2.0 patch that includes updated Classic HD assets and improved Reforged environment visuals.
Those who purchase the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest will also receive various in-game goodies for other Blizzard games. These bonuses include Warcraft III: Reforged multiplayer hero skins, the World of Warcraft Meat Wagon mount, the Mal’Ganis pet in Diablo III, hero unlocks for Heroes of the Storm, console skins for StarCraft II, and more.
I consider Warcraft III one of the best games I’ve ever played but was disappointed by the initial launch of Warcraft III: Reforged. I am curious to see how the Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest is and whether Warcraft III: Reforged 2.0 addresses the initial issues.
