Victor Vran has added a new Hardcore mode to the action-RPG as well as a standalone soundtrack and Digital Artbook for purchase. The Hardcore mode is similar to what you may be familiar with in the Diablo series, where you aim to play the game without dying. Unlike Hardcore in Diablo however, if you do die in Victor Vran‘s Hardcore mode, your character won’t be lost completely, it will just lose its Hardcore status and become a normal character. Hardcore characters will only be able to use equipment found by themselves or other Hardcore characters.
Those seeking an easier experience through Victor Vran can also check out the game’s new Casual difficulty. Players are able to switch between Casual and Normal at any time.

If you’re a fan of the Victor Vran soundtrack, you can now purchase it along with a 194-page Digital Artbook from Steam for $6.99. The orchestral soundtrack is also available on iTunes for $9.99.
The Casual difficulty and Hardcore mode is part of a free update to Victor Vran. There are more free updates heading to the game including a balance update that will rework the lightning gun and scythe weapons, a new endgame map called The Cauldron of Chaos, an update for local coop and more.
