A collection of new screenshots for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII shows that Oerba Dia Vanille will not only be making a return to the series, but has opened her eyes from a long sleep to realize she has received a special gift: she can hear the voices of the dead. She’s now being considered the “saint,” and in Lightning Returns, Vanille will spend her days under the Order’s protection in Luxerion.
Square Enix also announced a new service called “Outerworld service” that will allow players to submit snapshots, messages and battle scores through social media to share their exciting in-game experiences with other players.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be released on February 11, 2013 in North America for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The new screenshots also show off a classy purple dress for Lightning, just one of many outfits our heroine will be getting in the third chapter of the Final Fantasy XIII saga.
