Titanfall will not have microtransactions, Respawn Entertainment confirmed on its Twitter account. The topic of microtransactions has been a popular one recently, with the business model making an appearance in various games including Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Forza Motorsport 5 and Gran Turismo 6.
The upcoming first-person shooter from Respawn however won’t have microtransactions, but the company had no comment regarding season passes. This also means that there won’t be any cosmetic items that players will be able to purchase in the game.
It was recently announced that Titanfall’s multiplayer will be capped at 12 players and the game will be heading to the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2014 in North America.
