This Week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl Introduces Co-op Play

This week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl will introduce co-op play to the popular card game as players will team up to take down Gearmaster Mechazod. Each player will be given a pre-built deck and each turn Gearmaster Mechazod will move from one side of the board to another. Players will have to play their cards just right to bring him down together but watch out, if one of the players are defeated, then you both are.

Gearmaster Mechazod will have an arsenal of gnasty gnomish inventions and he’ll be using every tool at his greasy fingertips to take down you and your partner. By the looks of the single screenshot Blizzard share, he will be a two-damage, 95-health minion with taunt so it will be interesting to see how the co-op mechanic plays out in Hearthstone. The company also revealed that win or lose, players will walk away with their free Tavern Brawl Hearthstone pack. Hopefully this is a sign of more co-op opportunities heading to Hearthstone.

The Tavern Brawl, called Unite Against Mechazod, will arrive tomorrow at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET.
